Kudos on the Chronicle Starter

Just wanted to let the boys at Green Ronin know that the Chronicle Starter is awesome. It really got the creative juices flowing. Here's hoping for more similar product in the future.

I second this judgment: the book is awesome. It provides so much more than I originally expected after reading about six example houses from the Riverlands. The details of these houses, from the individual castles (some of which are very inventive), to the characters and their background are inspirational. In addition, the several places like Market Town and Port Maril, Durains Forest and the abandoned lands of Riverthorn are unexpected and sparkling jewels for the adventure-building imagination, as are regional traditions like the Mummers' Joust.

It ain't bad, but then again most of what is given, is something that everybody with a bit of imagination and the core rules can knock together themselves.
I find it also a bit depressing that the whole PDF is grey in grey without the slightest hint of color.

More after i gathered more than first and second impressions.

Keep up the good work, Green Ronin! Can't wait for more material for this game. Me and my RP crew just eat this stuff up. Even if we can't use everything because of what our current campaigns are set up to be, there's always things in your adventures that we can cannibalize and use for our adventures. And I agree completely with Rulander. The added pearls of the new locations, particularly Durain's Forest, are probably the best part of this release.

Speaking of, if Carriker or anyone else from the GR staff is reading this, I have a question: On the table of contents page is a map of the Riverlands, complete with all the new locations - EXCEPT for Durain's Forest. I can reasonably create a location for it myself, but I was just wondering if this might have been an oversight and you guys know where it should be. Or, perhaps, I am just really blind and have been unable to spot it. Either way, assistance would be appreciated!

But yes, overall, great stuff. Keep it coming!

I think only about 3/4 of the sites are on the map (some of the castles are missing as well
Hart House and Deepenhall are missing for example, which you can either take as indication that they are not within the confines of the map (Hart House likely being closer to King's Landing, Deepen hall closer to Casterly Rock) are that it does not really matter where they are (as it does not for the others, since you could really place them anywhere.
Same goes for all 'Interesting Places'.

Another question:
House Barnell is subject to House Stark but situation, per map and description, within the Riverlands. IS that intentional or an oversight after transplanting the House from the North to the Riverlands?
