DC Adventures-Watchmen and Vertigo and conversion question

Postby transhuman2012 » Mon Aug 23, 2010 12:20 pm

Hello,
Does anyone know if Watchmen and Vertigo characters and campaign info will be forthcoming for DC Adventures?
My other question is: is there a conversion sheet that we can (or could in the future) download for M&M to DC?
Thanks.

Until the barrier between DCU and Vertigo characters are lifted for the comics, you probably won't be seeing characters like Swamp Thing, Madame Xanadu, and Constantine in any DCU products aimed at mainstream readers. As for DCU, Watchmen-verse...I'd be betting if they do show up, it'd be in the implied DCU-Universes guide that was mentioned in the quickstart. Statting up the Minutemen II should be easier, however, when the DC NPC vol 1 and 2 come out since they're analogs of the classic Charlton comic characters (with the exception of Silk Spectre who is more of an analog from Phantom Lady--at least costume and personality--of the Freedom Fighters).

Well Madam Xanadu is mentioned on page 134 as an example of CHECK REQUIRED flaw so I expect to see her in one of the character books and Solomon Grundy's background mentiones his tie to Swampthing so we should see him too.

As for the Watchmen they got a clix set so Alan M. is not being a total hoarder but the property could still be tied up.

I just hope the univers book prints stats for the earth 26 heros

Thanks to both sea-envy and Neosamurai for responding.
Do either of you (or anyone else), know the rules for posting stats to the forum? For example, I'm working up the stats for Constantine (Yellow trench coat version). Could I post it here or would that cause a problem?
Have a good day.

If the Watchmen supplement never surfaces you can use the any official stats close to the DCU characters the Watchmen were based on as a base to build them yourself.

Dr. Manhattan - Captain Atom
NiteOwl II - Blue Beetle II with hints of Batman
Rorschach - The Question and Mr. A
Silk Specter II - Strip the super powers off of any one of a multitude of femme fatale characters, I'd recommend Black Canary
Ozymandias - Thunderbolt
Comedian - Peacemaker

The mutants and masterminds fourums have a DC sub fourum.
I think that would be a better place to print character write ups then here.

The fourum is called the atomic think tank.

Also on the atomic think tank DC fourum there is a call for art suggestions from the writers and by that a list of all characters appearing in the book
