Hi all,

I've posted a 1.1 version of my Blue Rose/True20 character sheet. I hope y'all enjoy...I welcome your feedback.

Mad Irishman, your sheets rock as always. The ability to switch back and forth between BR and True20 kicks ass. I do have one critique - as I switch the sheet from Blue Rose to True20, I can't find a space for Parry Defense (parry being the Strength based defense). Other than that it's outstanding.

Dodge and Parry Bonuses

Postby madirishman » Fri Feb 24, 2006 8:10 am

Duh, that was on my list of changes to make to 1.0 and I totally blanked. I will add it, sir!

Thanks for the kind words, and I'm glad you find my stuff useful. And thank you for the feedback, because that's what makes it better!

I also use and enjoy your character sheet. Since you are welcoming the feedback, I did notice a couple things. They may not be incorrect in regards to Blue Rose, but I don't have the Blue Rose book, so I am not sure.

First, the ability modifier for melee indicates strength. For True20, this should be Dex.

Second, the Dazed and Wounded conditions should have multiple smaller boxes, as per the Bruised and Hurt conditions. At least as far as True20 is concerned.

Aside from the previously mentioned missing Parry section, these are all that I have noticed.

Great work...

Hmm, that's a new one for me. Was that clarified in errata or something? Because we certainly weren't playing it that way.

Regards,
Patrick

See this post for clarification of the damage system (the sixth bullet point addresses this situation).

Dazed and Confused

OK, that sure wasn't the way it read in the original. Thanks for clarifying that. I'll fix it.

It's Str in Blue Rose. Having Dex modify all attacks was new to True20.

Blue Rose used one box per condition, except for Bruised and Hurt, which could accumulate any number. True20 modified that somewhat for Dazed and Wounded, but wasn't completely clear about it, hence the need for that clarification. (And it wouldn't be multiple boxes, it would be a blank, as with Bruised and Hurt.)

Patrick, you may just want to wait until the new version of True20 is available next month, to see how it all gets sorted out there, before you make more changes to that part of the sheet.

I kind of figured that was the case. Also, I went with the multiple little boxes, since Patrick had done the same for Bruised and Hurt (not comparing to the official sheet, but instead with the MI sheet).

Finally, I believe that your last paragraph may be the most prudent, since we do not know what final changes were made. So, with that in mind, feel free to ignore my suggestions and wait until we find out what is what...
