Wealth or Monetary System?

I think I'll be using with the ordinary monetary system from D&D 3.x instead of wealth system in my campaing.

Starting Money:
All classes: 100 +20 per charisma point


Any Suggestion?

Try the wealth system. It gives a completly different feel. And now your PCs won't take the dungeon home to sell it in small pieces.

I know wealth system from playing d20 Modern. Yeah, sure it nice. But I'll be running a classic or 1st Edition feel campaing, so I need the Monetary system to get that feel.

Ok.

I'd put more effect from Charisma, just because this stats is nearly never used.
I'd give a starting money of 50 + 30/cha point (yes, a weak charisma character can start being in debt if he doesn't choose the wealth feat).

I would put the wealth feat at +400 of your currency.

And I would add an automatic discount of 5% per cha point, and 5% price increase for each negative cha point (the usual crime of having an ugly face ).

I have changed my mind.

100 + 40 per Cha point. It's a campaign specific really.
