I don't own many sourcebooks, but I can run down the published ones I've examined.

I think Star Wars would have worked very well with T20 -- it was halfway there with a Force system that mimics the feel of the Arcanum system. That and Blue Rose's corruption rules are a lot like the existing rules for falling to the Dark Side, with the caveat that Star Wars didn't have the out of 'Embrace the Dark Side fully and not have those nasty penalties to stats, in exchange for being EVIL'. A friend was complaining about that fact.

I also think the Damage Save method is better than the VP/WP method for simulating 'Heroes don't get hit, but when they do, it HURTS' -- I think the old West End games SWRPG used something similar. Though, I think I like the house rule (mentioned on the BR forums) of scaling defense roughly to attack and having Toughness be just Armor+Con, with no level modifier.

If any system cried for this system, it has to be Seven Seas from AEG. Swashbuckling adventure in a pseudo-Reformation era world! Pirates, magic, and lost ancient empires! Great stuff.

I agree, Seventh Sea would be brilliant in T20 form, particularly given how it was so badly botched in its D20 form.

I third the vote for 7th Sea!

and I'd like to add:
Midnight
The Wheel of Time
Dragonlance
Mythic Vistas worlds
Dark Sun
Fading Suns
Amazing Engine worlds
Star Frontiers
Star Gate: SG-1
Farscape
BD&D Known World

d20 is a bad dream, the Truth is out there...True20.

Midnight. We're running a game there now using True D20.

I'm thinking about running an Al-Qadim campaign with T20...and Blue Rose (kind of a no - brainer there. :green: ). LotR would be interesting. I'm curious to see what changes they use in the new edition of Mutants and Masterminds - I love that system, but T20 seems to be even cleaner. 8)

(Personally, I think midnight is pretty dead, and the fan site that now produces the products is nasty, so I'm not even considering porting it....heh, or buying any more ffg products...but that's another story. :P )

REG.....that's definately got the "EW!" factor going for it. :P

Not the erotic part....the Pink Vestibule part. :P :P

Well, that's about as close as my innuendo can get without actually breaking the CoC.

Trust me, the other words I have thought of are more ... post-modern.

Other settings.

I'd second the call for Al Qadim. In fact as soon as I have the time I'm going to start converting away. Of course, if anyone has already worked on the Sha'ir, let me know! I hate duplicating effort like that.

Earlier, someone made the call for Seventh Sea. Now that [/i]doesn't[/i] need to be True20. You just need to use the original Roll&Keep system they developed and steer well clear of the d20 abomination - just my opinion, though. I know the originals are getting harder and harder to lay your hands on.

I think that would rock! I am working on a conversion already. I have a few of my ideas over on the dragon fist board.

Masque of the Red Death and Ravenloft would work well, I think better than in d20.

Me three! I love Al Qadim! Are you going to put your conversions up for others to use, Imagica? :green:

Al Qadim...

Postby Imajica » Tue May 24, 2005 4:12 am

Once they're done - or even partway done - I'll start posting them.

It'll be at www.filesandrecords.com.

Hopefully I should have time starting at the beginning of June...

One setting i'd LOVE to see get a much-needed breath of life would be Tyranny Games "The End"...fantastic premise, and really well-written.

Some of the anime settings published by Guardians of Order for BESM d20 could work well in T20. It might also be a good system for modeling such anime series as Fushigi Yuugi and Revoltuionary Girl Utena.

A Victorian setting would be nice. I've seen a lot of them that have been produced, but none of them are really playable without a bit of tweaking. 8)

How 'bout all of them? Ok that may be a bit much but it all honesty I can think of many settings that would greatly benefit from the streamlined True20 rules. My top 3 would be:

Trinity (some sci-fi would be nice)
Fading Suns
Exalted

Any Palladium RPG would be better in True20. You can still have your 200 "Classes" by expressing them as Roads (are they called roads? like the Shaper, Thief, Knight - the templates the GM or player can create).

Stardrive

Dark Matter

Dragonlance

Middle Earth

Those are the four settings I'd like to see as true20

True20 middle earth would be mind blowing!!! (And since Decipher dropped their middle earth RPG line, it might even be feasable for GR to get the liscence!!!)

Time to begin the True 20 Middle Earth lobby!!! :D

The liscense for the CCG and RPG were wrapped up in one and last I heard, Decipher was still making the CCG. I doubt they would give it up.

Same with Star Wars and WotC. WotC isn't making new books (for the time being), but using the same liscense to put out the mini game.

Speaking of which, I'm sure someone has said it and I'll throw my .02c in, Star Wars would be awesome :)
