What is a Femme Fatal

What is a Femme Fatal Exactly?

Why are many characters like Electra referred to one?

I thought about making a group of Super-Hero's or Villains which were all female and call them

The Femme Fatal's who acknowledge that is what they are and they love being the femme fatal's they are. You go girl. Sorta like the Power Puff Girls except using 'real' characters and not spoofs.

A femme fatale is basically a woman with a combination of sex appeal and danger. Best movie examples are some of the Bond Girls or Sharon Stone's character from Fatal Instinct. Hope that gives you a fairly decent idea.

Femme Fatals are basically female versions of James Bond, without all that "Fully clothed" nonsense.

Don't you mean Basic Instict? Fatal Instinct was something different... and it didn't quite have the same, um...

...cinematography...

And yes, Elektra would probably qualify. To use some other comic book examples, I'd say Catwoman, Talia al Ghul, Mystique, and Black Widow would all be classified as femme fatales, too.

I'd put Black Cat, Psylocke and Silver Sable into that category, too.

In the Freedom City universe, Medea, the Hell Queen and Doc Otaku's Angel Androids would all qualify as femme fatales.

Femme Fatales were (usually) a plot device of 'Film Noir' thrillers - gritty dark detective yarns. More often than not the Femme Fatale seduced the hero into helping her using deciet and manipulation (and also..ah..other methods).

Manipulative, deadly, beautiful.

The White Queen. How could we have missed her of all characters?

Also, as my wife is watching "Just Shoot Me," I'm reminded of the Rebecca Romijn-Stamos movie from a few months back that was actually called "Femme Fatale." Not that I've seen it, or have anything else to contribute, but it should probably at least be mentioned...
