Try this sample of the Sentai Gen:

"The mystic balance is threatened by a cybernetic wizard that controls a castle and a legion of golems.

Our heroes are a group of emergency technicians, led by a magical inventor. Drawing their powers from supernatural ancestry, can they save the day? A mysterious love triangle complicates matters."

In a godforsaken universe, in an age of war and devils, seven botanists hope to save a kidnapped psychologist.

Huh! :green:

so add to that -
He's a witless Republican jungle king on his last day in the job. She's a ditzy cigar-chomping cab driver living on borrowed time. They fight crime!

Ask the mods? The Anime Power Generator has to be the best one. I'm definitely going to use it when I run a less serious campaign. Theological Technology seems appropriate for the current mythological apocalyptic campaign that I'm running. Yes, very good. :green: Thx!

Here's one that's not really useful but it is really fun. It's called "They Fight Crime!" Here's the link http://www.rain-street.org/fightcrime.htm.

Name Generator

Postby GrayPumpkin » Sun May 18, 2003 8:55 am

Here’s a random name generator that uses data from the US Census to randomly generate male and female names. You can even set the obscurity factor from common names to totally obscure. It can be pretty handy for coming up with NPC names or as a catalyst for a secret ID name.

From the People who brought you Doctor Pisces, and the Napalm Baroness, prepare for Tree Mask...

Freedom is threatened by an extradimensional conquerer that controls another dimension and a legion of robots.

Our heroes are a group of auto mechanics, led by a time-travelling enemy of the villain. Drawing their powers from the universe itself, can they save the day? Enjoy the antics of their funny assistant!

Out this fall.
Take a seat, I'll be with you momentarily...

Generators are helpful...

Postby Legion16 » Sun May 25, 2003 12:00 pm

Those generators are great, but has anyone done a Character Generator for MnM yet? I'd like to get my hands on THAT.

The good news is yes, someone is (me!). The bad news is, it's php/mysql web based. This means it's not an easily downloadable program. It is possible to run it on basically any platform, but it requires some amount of mysql knowledge, as well as some sysadmin abilities. The worse news is progress is slow, and a full working version is not likely until the end of June.

There is currently a working prototype on my web site:
http://www.drizzle.com/~mshaslam
username:guest
password:guest

It allows you to created, edit, and print a character to a nice PDF, but it is basically free form, so it doesn't calculate the effects of powers. It is also very html intensive, which means if you are using a modem, updates are just too slow. There are also a couple of ease of use problems with the prototype that makes updates a problem. The 'real' version should solve most of these issues.

Feel free to mess around with it. It is not being used as a production system, so you can look at and alter any of the characters listed.

Mark.

There are also three different Excel-based ones that have been mentioned on the forum, mostly being discussed in this topic.

I'm surprised this hadn't been posted yet. It is god's gift to the little picture box in the upper right hand corner.
