As has been posted, you can now chat on IRC with your fellow Mutants & Masterminds fans by connecting to chat.psionics.net and typing /join #mutants&masterminds. You can do this with an IRC client(mIRC and Trillian being popular)or via the Web at http://www.psionics.net/chat/java/dnd3e.html. Now for a few behavior guidelines:

1)Keep bad language to a minimum. The milder swears will be tolerated, the F-word won't.
2)Please do not discuss politics or religion. These are sensitive issues and can very quickly lead to hurt feelings, plus they are not really appropriate. If you wish to debate them, there are plenty of better places for it.
3)Please maintain a civil tone and attitude. Calm and rational discussion is expected and encouraged. Flaming and childish insults are not. Treat others with the respect you would expect.
4)Please observe basic Netiquette. This includes not using scripts, nick-spamming, flooding, begging for Ops, unwanted PM's and trying to impersonate another person's screen name. On that subject, please register your nick so others cannot steal it.

Also, please observe the following rules during the moderated portion of Steve-Chat:

Starting at 10 PM EST(GMT -5:00) and running for one hour will be the moderated chat session, wherein Steve will answer your questions one at a time, and afterwards he will be around for general chat for as long as he wishes to stay.

1)One Question At A Time. Please keep your questions limited to requiring only one answer. No "What do you think of this, or this, or this, or this?" questions. Questions such as "What are your favorite comic books?" are allowed. Questions such as "What are your favorite comic books, movies and TV shows?" are not.

2)Remain Silent While The Questions Are Being Asked And Answered. Please keep side comments to yourself or message them to others and discuss in private messages, do not speak out of turn in the channel.

3)All Questions Will Be Asked In Alphanumeric Order. This means that from top to bottom in the channel users list, each person will be allowed one question, then repeating in that order as it progresses. DO NOT CHANGE YOUR NICK TO GET AHEAD IN THE ORDER. I WILL kick and ban you if you do.

4)If You Lose Your Connection Or Fail To Ask A Question Within 2 Minutes Of Your Turn, It Will Go To The Next Person. Please have your questions ready for when your turn comes. If you get kicked offline or otherwise lose your turn, you will have to wait. NO EXCEPTIONS. A log will be kept and posted afterwards for those who miss their answers.

5)No Jumping In Line. Steve will notify when it is your turn by ending his answer with "next question?" If you join the chat after 10 PM, you will have to wait until the next rotation for your chance to ask a question. Also, if I catch anyone double-logging(i.e. using two connections and two nicks) I will kick and ban you. So show up early, and as yourself only.

Also, Psionics.Net is currently experiencing router issues, so if you have trouble making/maintaining a connection, this is likely why.
