crusade base AGE campain

just wanting to get peaple help with campain idea?

basicly i was thinking of using AGE system to run a semi- historic campion. ig crusades setting but with adding of elfs and dwarfs to mix.

hear what i need help with is what dragon age county are in real world. this is what i got i writen down.
so corect me if i'm wrong? not sure what to do with Free Marches i was think germany but not 100% sure.
the other oragins i am going play by ear at table.

I grabbed what I could from the Dragon Age wikia site...but some of this I am doing from memory. Just remember that while some of this is clearer than others, the real world was used as an inspiration, but many of the cultures in game are fuzzy.

Antiva is based off Venice/Italy
Ferelden is based off Britain
Nevarra is based loosely off Prussia
Orlais is based France
Rivain is based off Spain
Tevinter Imperium is based off the Roman Empire
The Anderfels is based off Germany
The Free Marches, not really sure and can’t look it up at Bioware forums for the moment…it might have been loosely patterned after the Hanseatic League.

None of these are absolutes…for example while Rivain is based off Spain it has also be compared to Italy, Greece, Lebanon and Israel according to the notes at the Dragon Age wikia site. Also, the in game accents for a regions language may not reflect the politics...for example while Antiva is culturally like Venice/Italy, the language accent is closer to Spanish.

So this is pretty much what I found/recall, your mileage may vary.

I am more than happy to offer help in writing it, I was wanting to start something similar but found it difficult to get started. I was going to use the Italian slant and it make if more sunny. Too much fantasy that we play tends to be muddy based and something in the sunshine would be a really good change.

Your list looks good, except Nevarra would be closer related to Prussia. Nevarra only sounds Spanish, but it was once a part of the Free Marches (based off Germany), which gives a historical link to Prussia. Rivain is closer to Spain.
