Glory rewards

Are the listed glory rewards for the group or each player? IE, 5 players and the chart says 2 glory. Is it 2 or 10?

Glory is given to the House, basically, through the characters. So, an incredible success in a tourney might grant a House X Glory due to its single knight who triumphed, or it might be through the efforts of a small group of them.

So, just assume it's to the group, basically.

I know the group gets it but I wasn't sure if groups with lots of PC's get more glory than groups with fewer?

Given the choice between 8xp (per person) and 4 glory (shared) a group with 6PC's might want the XP because it's less than 1 glory per person. But 24 glory seems like a LOT too... But then again it's a major encounter and still things only go up by ~3 each stat.

Players should NOT have the choice which reward they get.

That wasn't my point.

We, too, did see Glory as reward for the house, not for every single person. If it was the action of one single player which generated the Glory, than he may have a greater influence how the Glory may spend one day.

Then I do not understand your point. How far is it relevant which reward players would like more? In the long run obviously money rewards are not worth it at all... but that does not mean, they should not be used.

The scene rewards table lists, for example, for a moderate challenge - 200/100/50 gd or 4/2/1 xp or 2/1/0 glory, depending on whether the reward is combined with other rewards (ie, 200 gd, or 100gd + 1 glory, etc...). It also mentions in the paragraph explaining the table "You should grant each participating character the indicated reward."

So, the question was: in a group with four participating characters, should they get, for example, 400gd + 4glory for a two-reward moderate challenge (ie 4x the 100gd + 1 glory), or should you only multiple the gold and experience by the number of players, yielding, for example, 400gd + 1 glory?

The whole "what players want" thing is more about satisfaction with the Narrator's running of the game as opposed to any particular choice in how their characters are rewarded.

I guess that whether the reward goes to a person or the house depends on the situation.

If a pc playing a knight win a great tournament the reward should go to him only.
If a pc leads an army to victory against a strong enemy host the reward should go to to the house
Now if a pc leads an army to an unexpected victory due witch could not be attained without his unpredicted tactics etc the rew should go to the player.

It's not a question of "who gets it". It's about "how much?"

Exactly. If you have 4 players and the chart says 1 glory does the house get 1 glory or 4 glory?

The House gets 1 glory. I'll make a point of adding a clarification on this (that Glory is the exception to the "each player gets the reward" verbage above the rewards chart) in the Errata Document of Effing Doom.
