No, fine by me.

I think games are most successful when there is lots of PC to PC dialogue instead of me talking to people and them never talking to each other. And the more the merrier.

Applied on Myth Weavers as Gamer Gig.

Hi. I've never played RPGs online, but I would join a PBP, if someone is still looking for players.

Sure thing, started a bit of it here:

http://www.myth-weavers.com/game.php?g=11382

Mostly see how the house shakes out and go from there with character creation.

Thanks for the thought, Ser Iggy. Though I have to admit, I'm crazy busy these days, and doubt I'd have the time to contribute to the game the way I would want to.

I mean, somebody's got to get these books out to you madmen! :)

You could give us early access so we could playtest them with you...

Yeah, I didn't think that Persuasion: Bargain roll would work either...

If I assist you, does that up our chances?

In any case, no worries! Its fantastic that you spend as much time as you do reading our drivel on the boards. Thanks for the efforts!

How sweet it would be to playtest using the Night's Watch source book

Anyway, just so this dosen't devolve into a play testing conversation, let's make sure we keep a spot open for Jay as he's the original poster

I'm really looking forward to this

Thanks Lord Ben for the work thus far

Excellent work! So happy to see this taking off. For the most part I'm accessible everyday, though I don't work a job in which I'm always in front of a computer. I do however also have a smartphone and will be able to join in daily.

I am applying on Myth-Weavers right now....

Not sure about Nights Watch, I'm sure it'll be a good part of the setting but to me the thrill is in a lot of the House stuff. Lots of games have wilderness regions with monsters to kill but this one really shines in it's politics.

I have spots open yet.

In my other game I have players like that too. Like I said earlier it's just important to make your few posts count.

Here is his latest post today:
Chiyo glances over the side of the barge, checking that the river hasn't changed from his observations the previous few days. Investigation (35)

Hunting to identify the type of fish in the area, and if the fishing is good, if the weather is good, etc. (22) [[Goal being to see if the 'fishermen' really do know anything about local fishing if we talk to them.]]

It's been not even a week since the tense conflicts that lead to an equally tense court visit with Seppun Keiten, but a couple of days with the serenity of the river boat has been enough to clear Chiyo's dark mood. He is back to his usual gregarious self, chatting easily with his comrades. He doesn't opine on the Vivek's suggestion - he hasn't made up his own mind yet on whether a friendly hand or a stern one would serve best. "I wonder more if they are trying to do something illegal without being noticed, Vivek-san." He says plainly, still explaining the obvious to the outsider, unsure what would be obvious to someone like the Vivek.

"Captain," he asks to the sailor in charge. "The man we are pursuing would have went by this way on a barge like this one less than a week ago. Would that have been noteworthy to local fishermen like these? And is there a reason for them to dock their boats together like that?" He wants to know, wondering if there is a non-suspicious reason that might be overlooked.

He posted a roll investigating something, replied to another PC, and asked the captain of the boat they were on about the suspicious activity spotted upriver.

Meanwhile, the more active players usually keep theirs shorter and do back and forth stuff.

The Vivek isn't thrilled by the idea of the human's atrocious idea of wine but his companions were pleasant enough company. He puzzled over the Rokugani double entendre before finally sniffing out its meaning but ignored it. It was surely Yuisho's business. "I'd be delighted to accompany you all to the sake house."

I just meant Night's Watch in general, not this game. I believe that's the next source book coming out following the following the Game of Thrones edition of the original book

I'm new to the forums, the system in large part and have very little experience with PbP. I think the only way I could be less qualified is if I were a mop. All that said, if there is ever room for a curious neophyte to join your campaign I promise you'd regret admission only slightly.

Alternately (and more likely given the time that has passed), if I could peek just to learn I'd be grateful and maybe I'll be ready if another rosy apple comes along.

Thanks.

There are at least 3 A Song of Ice and Fire RPG PbP going on on Myth-Weavers:

Greyjoy Rebellion: http://www.myth-weavers.com/game.php?g=11382
Beneath the Storm: http://www.myth-weavers.com/game.php?g=11470
Winters Gamble: http://www.myth-weavers.com/game.php?g=11491

The first two have started, and at least the second is filled (it's the one I run); I don't know if Lord Ben (who runs the Greyjoy Rebellion one) is willing to take on more players. The third one is in the recruiting phase, so I make no guarantees as to who'll be accepted and/or how the game will flow.

Still, you can browse their forums to get an idea of how the games are organized and a little bit of how they're being run.

I also run a game over on the ENWorld forums, although it's sort of stalling; new blood might re-invigorate it, but I make no promises.

Seems that we might need 2-3 players, we're trying to get a PbP game rolling on our forums (gaming community, unrelated to RPG's, but we have these little things on the side).

It's not mythweavers, and I am not promising high quality, but it should serve for those of us who cannot ever get enough PbP.

Toss me a pm if interested.

So err, as introduction posts go, this one is probably not going to be the best. Anyway,hi guys, I'm an ardent reader of Asoiaf and an avid gamer (I have GoT, 2nd edition, which I really like), but I barely have any experience with the the rpg itself. Read: I bought the whole series two weeks ago and have little experience in GMing.

I'd like to join a game welcoming enthusiast newbies, so I don't know if you're still looking for players, Zorbeltuss or others, but I work on a computer all day so posting regularly isn't a problem.

My purpose is to eventually master a game for my friends, although since I have very little experience in mastering anything in general or in playing that game in particular, I thought it'd be a nice introductory step.
