I would like to know if I could distribute (for free) a framework for Maptools using the Age System? would you allow it? or would you need to see it first?

The Dragon Age license makes such things tricky. It's better pursued when we publish the next AGE game, as we'll own the rights to everything.

You mentioned possibly adding a fourth class to the new fantasy AGE RPG. Have you considered going the opposite way and making it classless? Or perhaps adding options for doing so?

Is there any possibility for (german or other) translations of the Rules for SIFRPG or Dragon Age in the near future or at all?

It is indeed pretty freaking awesome. Im a huge fan of Komarck, and I like that the SoIaF books will have more unified cover art style. Has there been any talks about comisioning the Night's Watch cover from him?

Im actually curious about the entire process of art direction. Who chooses the art for each book, etc.?

Now that the news article discussed here has "fallen off" the main page of greenronin.com, perhaps a moderator could add the link to Chris' original post?

That is: http://greenronin.com/2012/01/green_ronin_in_2012.php

Cheers,

Edit: Good work!

Chris, I am very excited about this coming AGE project!

Couple of quick questions on the AGE fantasy game:

1.) When you get to a point where you might want external play-testing, will you guys do some kind of open call?

2.) Will you include and option, even just a sidebar, for some mook/minion rules that feature one-hit foes? This would facilitate larger, more cinematic fight scenes. And making it a sidebar or optional would allow folks not into that sort of thing to easily ignore it.

Thanks!

SIFRP is in French and Spanish already. Dragon Age is in Portuguese and is coming in some other languages.

I'll consider it, but you can achieve the same effect by simply having NPCs with low Health.

@fourcolorfigs

Just use NPCs without the Abilities upper part of their sheets.
Quick to make, fast to die. Works very well!

@ Chris Pramas

Any ideas about diceless damage?

I assume that means no german translations are planned at the moment?

I am not fourcolorfigs, but I believe you perhaps missed his point, Chris? It's not that it's hard to add mooks to the game, but that he asks if there will be an official rule to cover it (even if optional).

As I understand it, he's asking to have something like "if you like mooks, have NPCs have low Health" added into the game itself, rather than just a "you can do this yourself" suggestion.

Small difference I know, but not to some; there are groups who actively dislike using any rule not in the book itself, no matter how trivial or given.

But again, I am not fourcolorfigs. :)

I guess Zapp nailed what I was getting at. I love all of the "Under the Hood" sidebars and optional bits in M&M< and I'd like to see a little of that in the new AGE books. Not a lot mind you, but a few options to ratchet up cinematic play if a group wants it. And Sidebar mook rules would give that little nudge to players that it was "Ok" to tinker and tailor the rules to their taste.

Not a huge deal, since we can do that anyway, but it's nice to have it in the book to point to.

Thanks, Chris! Again, very excited to see this eventually come to fruition!

So is it not a game you want to produce or more of a scheduling thing or what?

Hi Chris,

Just wondering is there a set timeline on future releases of the Battle & Loot series for AGE that just started? Would the idea be monthly, bi-monthly, half yearly, or simply whenever you have new stuff?

Thanks!
