Anyone interested in playing a game online, possibly via maptools?

That’s pretty much the exact reason I came to this site. I’ll join if you’ll have me.

Also, have never used maptools before either

I'll be emailing you later today.

I presume char gen would be done in the first session? I was considering doing it here myself because obviously some stats would represent the character (Low con = poor health).

I'd love to play in this game. I've never played online before and would be very excited about it. Off to write up a character background

Good to hear you had fun. I was going to ask when you'd be playing but now I don't have to :).

You're going to rue this....

I'm having a problem. Just trying to run a test server and when I try to Load Character Sheer I get "Unknown library token Lib:Test."

It works fine when its not in the server. Do all players need to have the tokens and such? That seems... odd.

Send your campaign file to chaosmanga (at) hotmail.com I'll take a look. What build of MapTools are you using, the most recent (b68) has a bit of an issue.

I'm using 1.3.63

Exo was using that the other night so I figured go with it. Thought it might be a port forwarding issue (turns out there was an issue but it was unrelated)

I'll email those on. Thanks

b63 is currently the most stable build, its a good idea to stay with that for a while. b67 is fairly good, but b66 & b68 are a little squiffy.

The only person that needs the Lib:Test token (should have renamed it when I was early in the building of all those macros) is only needed by the GM/Host of the server. However, the token needs to be set as 'visible to players'.

I greatly enjoyed the game last night, great characterization and dialogue. Maptools use was superb. I look forward to next tuesday when our other party members come in. ^^

I like to see how the events turn out and hopefully see set 2 come out before we hit level 5.

Also for Illiani, love the pantless gamers session logs, quite humorous ^_^
Wish I could see the maptools sessions of that!

Session Logs? My players have actually taken notes somewhere? Or do you mean the Actual Play recordings?

Ah well we're all glad you enjoy them, we certainly enjoy their production. If you enjoy things like this you should definitely wander over to RPGMP3.com where you will find any different groups playing any different games, include Tropis the first (and ongoing) campaign the PGers ever did together.

Just thought I'd post here since I didn't get a reply via email... I played Soetheby in the game mentioned here and I had to leave due to internet loss. I finally have a stable internet connection and would like to know if you guys ever finished and/or where you stopped. Hopefully one of you will see this...

I am working on an updated Framework for this system as we speak. If anyone has any knowledge of maptools framework codeing and would like to test it or help me with it, let me know.

Current items already input:
Automatic updating of health and mana when attacks are made, and spells are cast.
State updates for spells
State updates (along with auto input of bonuses) from major and minor actions
Bonus from talents should automatically be updated.
Defense from talents should automatic update
Nice Inventory List
