Character sheets and cards

Postby Knightwolf64 » Mon Jul 23, 2012 11:04 am

My wife and I were discussing about character sheets the other day. She pointed how it takes a lot ink to print out even if it a fillable sheet. She had suggested making a sort of card type for each diffrent aspect of the game, such as abilities on one card and then focuses on another ect... She pointed out about making cards for each weapon, armor, talents, spells and so on. Then print each one out, make more than copy of weapons and such for each diffrent person. Then take a mouse pad mat big enough to fit the main parts on mouse pad and use the circular velcro stickers to place on the back of the cards, stick how you would see fit. The paper should be card stock and, the character should be blank and then laminated so that a thin dry erase marker could be used to write info on them. When the character levels up erase and mark the new info. The other cards can have card sleeves to protect them and hand out as the GM sees fit.

I would really like feedback.

Sounds a bit like a manual (and probably more fun!) version of the 4th ed D&D character builder. I made up a set of 3x5 cards for all the talents and specializations a while back - but don't know if there are any copyright issues with posting them. They're easy enough to make though!

No i dont think so this more like take a huge mat the kind that you would use for magic the gathering. Then place the velcro sticky's on the mat. The other sticky part on the back of the laminet stick mat the character sections. The others cards are in sleeves. Thats the basic idea. Use a dry erase marker for writing lol.
