Giving M&M a try

Postby Divad Jensen » Sun Aug 03, 2003 6:19 pm

I'm going to give M&M a try with my gaming group on Saturday and if things go well, we'll trun it into an ongoing champain. I bought all the books but I'm probable not going to use Freedon City as my campain headquarters. I want to do something original, so I setting it in Metropolis. I'm acctually going to combine DC and Marvel into one world. I'm using The Heist as a starting point and am definatly going to kept the Super Villian slackers of Rant and Rave. I my world, The Kingpin is coming to town. Anyone who want to operate in Metropolis will have to pay for his protection. With enough cash, Rant and Rave could buy into Kingpin's stable of Super Villians. I'm hopeful things will go well. I'm aready a alittle concered about a PC that bought regeneration at 10. I guess that means he'll have to go from fine directly to unconsious. Do not pass go, do not collect 200 bucks.
I've never claimed to be normal... then again, I've never been accused of it either.

Ok. I'm a bit new at this forum. I accually intended this to be part of The Heist thread. Anyway, as long as it is a seperate thread, does anyone know any good sites with write ups of DC and Marvel characters in the M&M stlye? I know I'm going to have to come up with most of the stats on my own but that is a lot of work (as any GM worth his salt knows). Any help would be apprieated 8)

Thanks

Sure, two of the best ones..

They do a lot of Marvel stuff. I would like to see more DC things done myself. While I haven't been a huge fan of DC I admit I like Batman quite a bit and pick up the GNs when I feel like reading gritty hero stuff.

Heh i would do DC Novac, but I'm infinitely less familiar with it, apart from a relatively short time of reading JLA with its standard crew of well knowns, the only actual other Dc character I know pretty well is Azrael.

Know Images Darkness, Witchblade and Fathom pretty well too, Oh and todd mc Farlanes SPAWN of course as far as non marvel comics go... but Marvel is by far my most familiar established SH Genre.

Hey Neo. I would love to see your versions of M&M writeups of Fathom, Witchblade or the Darkness either here or on your web page

Most of what I know about Batman comes from 1) The old Adam West show (reruns, not that old), 2) The few graphic novels I have picked up, 3) The animated series and 4) The movies. So anything you have on him would dazzle me ;) As for the other JLA, I only know who a few of them are by appearance from oooold cartoons :)
