Unuscione

Postby Chrono » Thu Jul 31, 2003 12:29 pm

I was curious as to how one would go about setting up the powers of a hero such as Unuscione (or villain in her case), one of Magneto's acolytes who could project a psionic exoskeleton around her body? Any ideas and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

And some elongation. She has good reach with that exoskeleton.

Would attacks with the exoskeleton be treated as melee or ranged? (using strength or dex?)

Depends. If you purchase it as an Energy Blast as an Extra off of Force-Field, then it's Ranged. If you purchase it as Strike, with possibly Elongation as an extra, then it's Melee.

Melee. She's not shooting anything. She's reaching out to strike or grapple opponents, and those are melee attacks.

Thanks :green: , just wasn't sure which it would be since she wouldn't be physically touching them but using the exoskeleton to do so.

It's just like when you beat someone with a stick. You're not physically touching them, just using the stick to do so :green: .

Just an interesting fact if anyone's interested:

According to the X-Men Marvel RPG sourcebook, that thing (the exoskeleton) also delivers a paralyzing neuroelectric charge. In the Marvel rpg, it is treated as paralysis for each "stone" that gets through defense. Her "Actions (a.k.a. powers)" include a force-field with the "Neuroelectric Blast" power.

Perhaps a Stun or Paralyze Effect should be included?
