Glad you thought the idea for the team was a good one and thank you for your kind words about Rescue.
Are you going to use all the character concepts mentioned in this thread or have you chosen your favourites? which ones are they?
If you write any of them up I'll be interested in viewing them. I'll try to do some as well but not sure how long it will be before I post them.
By the way found a miniature today that looks just like Rescue give or take a make over with modeling clay. I've managed to do an undercoat on it so far but when its finished (and I can get my hands on a camera) I'll post a photo of him.

Love the team set up. Just a thought though I would consider adding Bulldozer to the group for added strength.
How about all the team had their powers triggered or as a result of an accident or disaster. I’ve put some ideas together:
Rescue – well we all know his background.
Doc – While working in the hospital’s ER a 5-year-old girl is brought in the victim of a drive by shooting. The Doc spends all night trying in vain to save her little live. In the early hours of the morning he realizes nothing more can be done but feels it is his responsibility to stay by her side until she passes away. While sitting there holding her fragile hand he prays to god blaming him for his cruelty as the monitors start to flat line he feels a warmth in his hands and it spreads from him to the little girl, he starts to see her wounds in his mind and imagines them closing and healing suddenly the flat line signal stops. Opening his eyes he sees the little girl looking at him with a peaceful smile on her face…
Search Light – The man who would become searchlight was an engineer for a big mining company his job was to design and test a new deep earth personal mining suit. The concept was that the suit would use intense focused light to extract the minerals from the rocks. While on a test run a cave in trapped him under tones of rubble. He was trapped in a little pocket of air with no way out. Using his knowledge of engineering he reconfigured the suit so that it would give off one huge blast thereby freeing himself. It worked but an unfortunate side effect was that the uncontrolled power surge generated by the suit fused it to his body, now he depends on it for survival.
Life Line – The man who would become Life Line was a world-class rock climber. For his honeymoon he took his wife (also a rock climber) on a mountaineering holiday. While on the rock face one day the rope supporting his wife snapped and he just managed to grab her hand before she fell to her death. Knowing he could not hold on for long he looked around and noticed a ledge about 20m below. He weighed up the chances of his wife surviving the fall and if the ledge was strong enough to hold her if she did land on it. He knew there was no chose. He stretched himself as far as he could to give his wife the best possible chance but to his amazement kept on stretching until he gently lowered her to the ledge. The rescue team found them their 2 hours later.
Evac – Evac was designed as an all-purpose vehicle for the army to evacuate the wounded from fire zones. She was designed to be a female humanoid as the think tank thought a wounded man would respond to this better under stress. Unbeknownst to the army the scientist in charge had just lost his daughter to cancer; she had been a top nurse and trauma specialist before she died. What the professor did was totally unethical but then he was grief stricken. In the last minutes of his daughter’s life he down loaded her memories and implanted them into the android. When the true was found out it was deemed a disaster, far from being a piece of battlefield equipment the courts ruled that Evac was a sentient being. Now Evac does the only thing she knows and that is to look after the wounded and injured, she has found a life and a family in Code Blue, and is the teams only full time member living the life 24hrs a day.
Back draft / Floodgate – These twins were separated at birth and grow up in two totally different environments.
When in collage back draft was trapped with his roommate in a fire that ripped through their dorm (a prank that went wrong). His friend being scared rushed to open their dorm room door. Knowing the dangers of doing this back draft grabbed him just as the door opened and put his body between his mate’s and the door. Opening the door coursed a back draft and suddenly the fire flooded into the room and amazingly into back draft’s body until all the fire in the building had been absorbed.
Floodgate had always loved the sea and as a teenager she became a lifeguard and then trained as a safety consultant for an off shore oil company. While inspecting oil rig a storm blow up. At the time there was a two man diving bell at the bottom of the oil rig (the men in it were doing repairs to one of the pipes) trapped with their air supply running out Floodgate refused to allow anyone to die on her watch. She got into a pressurized suit and went down to see if she could at least repair their air supply. She miscalculated the storm and was soon in trouble herself she smacked her faceplate open on the leg of the rig and water rushed in. she soon stopped panicking when she realized she was still breathing. Seeing the diving bell below her she instinctively reached out with her mind and the water around it obeyed her commands slowly the bell rose to the surface.
Bulldozer – Big, strong and gentle were the words that describe the man mountain that would become Bulldozer. While working for a construction company building offices in South America an earthquake hit burying him and his work mates under tones of concrete. When the rescue teams finally got to them they were expecting to be removing the dead, to their amazement Bulldozer was standing over his workmates bracing up tones of rubble on his shoulders and stopping his friends from being crushed to death.
These people have all been recruited by Rescue as part of an advance rescue team to be called upon when disaster strikes. Floodgate and Back draft have been reunited and are starting to be brother and sister again, Evac sees the team as a family that will accept her for what she is and Search Light sees it as an opportunity to help people while trying to find a way to remove his dependence on his suit. What ever their personal situation one thing is for sure Code Blue is dedicated to helping people no matter their colour, nationality or believes. If disaster strikes any government in any country can call on the services of CODE BLUE.

I love what you have done! The bio's fit perfectly and the whole idea of them getting their abilities becasue of some kind of "accident" was inspired - Code: Blue Team is looking way cool! If you ever want to work on something of this nature together again! i would gladly pool my brain power with your own! I think that this sort of think in one of the big advantages of even having a fourm like this!

Had the day off work today so was able to finish painting the Rescue figure now all I need is a camera to take some pics and I'll be able to post them.

These guys look great - I am trying to put together the twins Backdraft and Floodgate as I type this
Again I must say this "stone soup" character creation is alot of fun!
Not all supers have to be combat monsters and having a "theamed" group like this could make for some interesting encounters with other heroes! I can see the pc's trying to duke it out with Code: Blue only to be scolded "We are here to help! So if you would stop this childishness maybe some lives can be saved!" This might cause some pcs who see anything in spandex thats not them as a target from being so quick to act!

but seriously i love the idea & i may steal it for an up coming game i am running. basically we have a with an out of control superabillity & code blue shows up t help & the pc's are there ( btw if anyone can help i am trying to create speedball to use as the "villian" in this one & i have no idea how to create him) his power are not under his full controll & he is bouncing arround at random

Minor problem with Searchlight:
You can't take the Permanent flaw on Armor, and even if you could, you couldn't also take the Disturbing weakness (the reason Permanent is a flaw is because it gives you disadvantages equivalent to Disturbing). In fact, if the device can't be removed, you can't even take Armor -- you need to take Protection. It's not a device if you never take it off.

HISTORY:
The man who would become Life Line was a world-class rock climber. For his honeymoon he took his wife (also a rock climber) on a mountaineering holiday. While on the rock face one day the rope supporting his wife snapped and she fell to her death landing crushed on a ledge 100 foot below. Wanting to get to his wife as quickly as possible in case she was by some miracle still alive he started to abseil down to the ledge. In his haste he got court up in his rope, feeling helpless hanging there mere feet above his wife he stretched out his hand wanting to touch her, to let her know he was there but he couldn’t reach. He tried again and this time to his amazement his hand kept on stretching until he could feel her throat for a plus, there wasn’t one. In his grief he held tight to her wishing she was still alive. Suddenly an electrical charge flashed between his hands and his wife’s body strong enough to lift her of the ledge. This happened twice more then suddenly his wife took a deep breath and slowly opened her eyes. The rescue team found them their 2 hours later holding each other close on the ledge.

Sure. Just define the 'suit' as a special effect of his Protection (and other powers, if applicable); there is no 'suit' in game mechanics terms. The fact that he dies if you take him out of his suit is no different from the fact that a human will die if you remove his skin.

What the professor did was totally unethical but then he was grief stricken. In the last minutes of his daughter’s life he down loaded her memories and implanted them into the android. When the true was found out it was deemed a disaster, far from being a piece of battlefield equipment the courts ruled that Evac was a sentient being. Now Evac does the only thing she knows

The new look - well this is Nightlynx version 4.0
The one i was using was version 3.0 the Nightlynx of the 90's - I found this guy while surfing the net - He's an animated version of the Marvel mangaverse's Black Panther a look i was going to borrow for the modern Nightlynx.
FYI
Nightlynx is a character I have been playing on and off since the 80's in various hero game settings (Champs-Marvel-V&V-Marvel SAGA-etc) to numerious to count! Started as a He - Golden Age Batman-type - then Became the Silver Age version with strong mystical powers - then the 90's version She was a mutant teleporter - Now the new imporved mordern version that i have yet to write stats for but what a cool idea? Stating out the characters we use as our Avatars!

Floodgate had always loved the sea and as a teenager she became a lifeguard and then trained as a safety consultant for an off shore oil company. While inspecting oil rig a storm blow up. At the time there was a two man diving bell at the bottom of the oil rig (the men in it were doing repairs to one of the pipes) trapped with their air supply running out Floodgate refused to allow anyone to die on her watch. She got into a pressurized suit and went down to see if she could at least repair their air supply. She miscalculated the storm and was soon in trouble herself she smacked her faceplate open on the leg of the rig and water rushed in. she soon stopped panicking when she realized she was still breathing. Seeing the diving bell below her she instinctively reached out with her mind and the water around it obeyed her commands slowly the bell rose to the surface.
