Can you buy extras for your spells which you buy with as your initial spells? Can you buy them for the spells you buy additionally which are only 2 points each (stunts)? Can you buy them as partial extras? Anyone thought about these things yet? If so post your thoughts.

variable extra

Thought of something brilliant. How about giving Variable Effect extra to your sorcery power and then ofcourse take Hero's Luck to stock up on hero points. This way you can access the various extras and stunts listed in the various powers which are your spells. Thoughts on the matter?

Hey,

Just use the device flaw. No rule I've seen that a device has to be technological. Here's an example or two.

Ring of Hercules

Superstrength +5 Flaw: Device Source: Mystical 15 pp's

Staff of the wizard

Sorcery +10 Flaw: Device, Rote Source: Mystical 50 pp's

Boots of quickness


Superspeed +10 Flaw: Device Source: Mystical 50 pp's

Is this what you meant? Or did you mean something entirely different?

Actually, the device rule is encouraged for magic items. See p 123, with exemples such as the Cloak of Flight and the Scrying Crystal.

A magi with access to a large number of magic items might have the Gadget power as well as Sorcery.
