Storn's Character and Art Thread

Postby Storn » Fri Jan 17, 2003 10:07 am

I should have done this from the beginning. Just keep lumping all my sketches and M&M characters into one thread. But I was afraid that no one would look at the old threads I started because they were 1 character specific.

So, anyways, from now on, I'll just post my characters and sketches into this thread. So check back every once in awhile. Hopefully, someone will get use out of these characters and/or art. I should be creating a few as my schedule permits, since I'm running an M&M game now.

Now, the game I'm running is set in a Champions campaign called RDU (Red Dragon Universe) that has been going on over a decade. My game will be set as sorta a superspy part of that world. So, to all the folks who have stated that I have too many belts, pouches, guns on my supers illustrations... tough. That is the game I'm running at the moment.. <g>.

So, here is Lt. Anthony Carlilse. Ex-Royal Marine. Hails from Bermuda. Now UNTIL (RDU's super Interpol connected to the United Nations). Cross trained as a medic and combat engineer, specializing in cybernetics. He is purposely PL 8 NPC, while the PCs will be 10 or 11. His role is to be support and not hog the spotlight.

I think this is a great idea Storn. Pregenerated characters WITH artwork? Yeah, I think I get some use out of them. :D

Thanks for sharing your hardwork with us.

Hey Storn, are you going to post any art for the characters in your campaign?

Because this is awesome, I love your art.

I would pay to get you to sketch my characters, as I'm sure people here would. :green:

Kudos to you man, your art and your characters are excelent.

Dude... Storn rocks!

Had no idea you would post things like this here, but I love that you will. I rank you as one of my top 3 gaming artists, with Brom and Elmore. Keep up the great work!

>>I rank you as one of my top 3 gaming artists, with Brom and Elmore. Keep up the great work!<<<

Uh, while I TRULY appreciate the compliment... Brom? I'm not even close. I hope to be one day. But that is some exalted company you just mentioned me with. Thanks.

>>Hey Storn, are you going to post any art for the characters in your campaign?

<<

I will post characters that I've done a sketch for. I am running every other week. So, I expect that I'll do one or two for each session. Right now, one player is running a character who's sketch I used for the upcoming Ninja Hero book from Hero Games. They own the rights to that picture now.

The two other players are playing characters from Tekken, Bryan Fury and Lei Weilong respectfully. I'm not quite sure if I can re-post their images or their "stats"... not sure of the legality of all that. I don't own those images or concepts, Namco does. However, I'm not trying to profit from it either. So, I know that I can play safe and only publish the characters that I've doodled.

I look for visuals for my games all over the place. So, I use a bit of my own work...and I borrow from every source that I can find. I'm doing this so some folk can use my pics as a source (for nonprofit, gaming endeavors!)

Expect any villains that I doodle to be posted after they've been first used or shown. My players are well aware of this board. <g>.

Being a big fan of the Tekken games and Bryan Fury being my favorite character, I would like to see those writeups under a Tekken thread.:D. If the people at Namco complains about it, although I doubt they would, you can always have the mods remove it

The Accurate Attack feat reduces damage to gain a bonus on the attack roll. All-Out Attack reduces Def to add to the attack roll.

By the way, your artwork is very impressive.

I love the art so far. But then, I'm a huge fan of superhero superspies. I love SHIELD and CHECKMATE and the THUNDER AGENTS...

I'm glad a couple of folks are into that Checkmate, Suicide Squad vibe. Because that is sorta what my game is really going for.

Stay tuned. I'm running MM this Wednesday, after which I can release the pic and stats of a villain. Don't want to do it before then, because my players might be watching <g>.

The Lady is Cyberblade!

Postby Storn » Tue Jan 28, 2003 8:45 pm

This is one of the PCs in my game. Had a brief, but important arc in the Champions RDU campaign. Maybe we can convince Neil to post her stats at some point. Or maybe I'll stop being lazy and post them if he gives permission.

C-Blade is tough, not to be trifled with and has a penchant for slicing and dicing her way through power armor and cyborgs. She has a sister from the 4th ed book Underworld Enemies called Gunmetal Silk...another femme fatale, cyborg'd hell on wheels.

Silk is missing, UNTIL is looking, sucked another PC into my web of death and deceit!!!! BWHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHA!!!! {oh.... did I type that outloud?}

The CyberBlade pic is awesome. I like how you gave her butterfly swords rather then the typical kind with the long blades
