Passive test

Greetings folks,

I just wonder if I get this right:
In the Combat and Intrigue section you have rules where you have to roll against a passive test result. Does this realy mean you have to be greater or equal than the double rank of the given ability.

May the gods be with you.
Templar.

Passive difficulty, I'm pretty sure, is four times their ability rank, plus the relevant number of bonus dice.

So a person who has Awareness 3 +2B Notice would have a passive difficulty of 14 to sneak past.

Thanks for your reply.

Are you sure? Could you quote the page?

Later on I will write down where I found it and how I understand it.

Honestly, Templar.

Page 52, under "Specialities and Passive Tests", is the only instance of calculating passive tests I could find quickly.

It confirm's KingslayersHand's answer:

Passive result = 4 x rank + # of bonus dice.

An example it gives is if you are trying to sneak past someone with 4 Awareness and 2B Notice, you need to beat 18.

Thanks you for the clarification. :)

I see that I still need some time to get used to the book. Where I finde the things written down.

Honestly,
Templar.

Yeah, that's where I picked that up from, and to second that, you can look at the example of jousting on p. 164 that confirms it also.

Sorry I didn't give you a page number, I was rushing. Glad someone else got it for you.
