So does the QSR provide all the abilities found in the game or is this an abbrevated list?

Not that I am complaining, I have a fan in general of broad-based skills and attributes.

Obviously only GR knows the answer to this, but I can at least say the approach taken makes it exceedingly easy to add or remove abilities as you see fit. :)

As I see it, the underlying assumption is that all abilities is in some sense equally important.

(In a campaign with a lot of overland movement, perhaps Orientation should become an ability of its own? In another campaign which never takes the characters to the coastline, things like swimming and sailing should probably not be offered to the players as separate abilities.)

It is the complete list, although the core rulebook will obviously provide a great deal more detail about each ability and how it can be used.
