Mass Combat/Skirmish rules?

I did a couple searches and didn't really find this mentioned in depth previously on the boards. Is there going to be any sort of mass combat/small unit skirmish rules in the base book? Or perhaps plans for a future expansion/splat book?

In playing the GoO game, this was one thing we desired and was mentioned as coming in a future release (of course kanked by the death of the company).

Anyhow, just wondering if anyone has heard/seen anything of this?

Yes. Mass combat and skirmish rules are in the main RPG book.
