Looking for SIFRP game in LONDON

Postby pouncingpanda » Mon Jan 09, 2012 7:14 am

Hello,

I've just picked up the SIRFP book and would love to find a game in or around London (UK).

Whilst I've every intention of GMing sometimes soon, I want to try out the rules as a player first.

If you're starting a game or are willing to add a new player into an existing chronicle, then I'd love to join in.

Availability depends on where you meet. I live in south-east London and work in the centre but am willing to go most places within the M25. I could make surrounding places (e.g. Guildford, Watford) but infrequently, so might be best as a "prologue character" for chronicles here

I consider myself a friendly, mature and constructive player - more a Davos than a Stannis! I've played a lot of different RPGs - "traditional" and story games - and often attend cons, so I'm used to different play styles.

If you can help out, please feel free to reply or PM me.

Thanks for asking.

I've been chatting to Pytorb (who posts quite a lot on this forum). He ran a great campaign in 2009 (google: Kinnemorne) and will be running a game in the summer for the same players - but the group is, understandably, full!
He might have time to run something shorter before then.

Have you played SIFRP before?

I have GMed the beggining of Peril at Kings Landing while i was in Spain this Christmas but, sadly, my friends think that although the game was ok, the prefer other "universes".

I guess the problems were these:

-They had only seen the TVshow (which is good, but the books are awesome!).

-They really enjoyed creating the house, but low influence and wealth left them feeling that they couldn't play interesting roles and, at the end, they disliked their house.

-I was a total newbie with the system. I had a hard time GMing for 3 female players/characters (strange, isn't it?) and one male player/character that chose to play a normal soldier instead of a knight!

The summary is that I would really like to try again playing it myself!
