DC Adventures - Third Party Produced Material

Here you can discuss and ask questions about upcoming Green Ronin products and anything else that doesn't fit into one of the categories.

DC Adventures - Third Party Produced Material

Postby Youseph » Fri Jul 16, 2010 10:11 am

Can someone like myself create material for the DC Adventures RPG?

Let me break this down a bit. Could someone like myself write a campagne for DC Adventures and sell it? Can I write an epic campagne that involves great villains and use DC art work?

I guess what I am getting at is what can hobbiest like myself publish? What are the rules I would have to follow?

Can any one point me in the right direction?

Not unless you work out a licensing deal with DC yourself, sorry.

I was feeling hopeful because of an interview Chris Paramas gave on enworld.

Q: Will there be any opportunities for fans or for third-party-publishers to produce material under a license [I assume DC Adventures] similar to the M&M Superlink license?

A: Yes, we announced a new program called Super-Powered by M&M. It continues the Superlink program but we’ve changed it a bit to make it easier on publishers and on us. Changing the name also will make it clear what material for M&M 3. If you see something with a M&M Superlink logo, you’ll know it’s for a previous edition of M&M.

I am just not finding any info on "Super-power". But in reading about "Super-link it sounds like it's related to M&M only.

There will be a program for M&M3 when that's released this fall (which is what Chris is discussing in the interview) but DC Adventures is a whole other kettle of fish.

Yeah you're probably right in most cases. With a name like mine I am sure most people think I am one of those Koreans kids playing World of War craft all day trying to write correctly so I can join an american guild.

That's not the case here. Just a guy with Dyslexia who processes his writings through at least two spell checkers before submitting anything. Campagne just slipped through.

That's good to know. I guess since i can't package it up and sell it, might be worth releasing as a free PDF.

Since this subject has already come up here, I would like to raise my hand and direct your attention here to where I accidentally posted a question in a similar vein, only it was about converting Paragons to M&M3 and possibly writing up some supplements for it.

I apologize, I am new to the board.
