Freeport: Can you have the Green Fire before the Trilogy?

I'm just signing on to Freeport with the Pirate's Guide and I'll follow up with the Trilogy.

Call me lazy, but instead of hiding that beautful map in the inner covers, is there any reason why you can't have the Green Fire happen before the trilogy/
