My Freeport is Monmurg, in the Greyhawk setting. The group just reached there, and moved right into Death in Freeport, mostly.
They're now 4-5 level, one had lost several points of con to undead draining, so went to the church of Delleb, god of Knowledge, since they're the major priesthood in the place.
While there Egil saw them, figured them for adventurers and followed them to their inn, approaching them the following morning.
He explains how Lucius is missing and he can't be linked to the investigation, the group doesn't ask why, they're typical adventurer's that don't need to know "why?"
They ransack the house, finding the journal, which leads to the ship of the orc. My Orc Ship was named the Flayed Dwarf though
They never managed to approach directly, but got a note to Scarbelly, who later sent a messenger. I changed the adventure here, because I wanted a more direct path, so the note said that Lucius has mentioned "The Dark Corners" so the next morning they set out to find the place.
As they arrive, a lady leaves, and the cleric notices she's wearing a dagger that matchs a description of the dagger Lucius mentioned having built. She runs, they persue, killing her and finding out about the Green Master.
They find out from the barkeeper that the lady meets some cloaked fellow there every Saturday at noon, so they return and follow the guy, who leads them to the Temple Under the House.
The adventure was pretty much standard after that, with the exception that I used the Serpent Men from CoCd20 as a base and gaev them levels. They don't have the ability to polymorph or anything, but several had those Green Steel Devil Daggers of Imp's.
All in all, pretty fun.
Next is Speaker in Dreams, then some Terror or Madness
