The fact that we all-but-closed-down for two weeks made December all too short for Freeport! Sorry about that. Pt. 3 *will* be posted shortly.

Hal probably has a better idea of exactly when, but I promise, it's SOON.

I'm hoping we'll be able to get Part 3 posted this week. However, we have a few production hurdles we need to get by before we can take some time to post the free stuff.

Gah! Time to light a fire under the editor, then, I guess! Should have it for posting Any Time Now (which is just past Real Soon Now).

I'll see what whips I can crack to get part three online.

Since y'all are nagging Hal anyway...
Could you post a map to go with part 1? The buildings for this fight/chase scene are decsribed, but their relationships to each other are not. Thanks!

Yep, we have maps for parts 1 and 3, and the content for part three is out there in the chain somewhere.

You guys have been incredibly patient. The good news is that we can see light at the end of the tunnel.

Well, for anybody running Deus like me... If you run out of stuff before Part 3 hits the press...

I've found that the "temple of the living god" section of the 'Arcana' book offered me a tempting solution... The thieves are from said temple, and are helping with the building of a golem body to house their diety's avatar/essence. Building it out of holy symbols seems sickly appropriate.

It's also a nice diversion, as the party is dead sure that it's the Unspeakable Cult again, trying to remove all power of opposition from the city in preparation for a major offensive... Hmm... that doesn't sound too bad either... Nah. They expect that.

I'm getting ready to do something, as by the 1st Fri. in Feb., I won't be able to divert my party's drive to settle the stolen holy symbol matter any longer! The party cleric is livid!

Yeah, sorry about the continuing delays, guys. We've been totally crushed getting the paying projects back on track before the distributors lynch us.

The good news is once Hal is able to finish up this last loose ends layout project (absolute drop dead dealine of Feb 1) he'll be able to pump out a little mroe of the free stuff, starting with the missing bits of Deus ex!

Hey see my other post... I'm grateful for the work you do. I don't mind. Just offering up an ad-hock solution in the mean time..

Yep. Here are the errors I got:

  • Pg. 2: Insufficient data for an image.
  • Pg. 5: There was an error processing a page. Too few operands.
  • Pg. 5: An unrecognized token '26659033F000300560053004C00.Tf was found.

The end result is the map looks weird and page 5 is blank.

Can I just say D'OH!?

Ok, I've got both Hal and Evan looking into it. I'll post an update when we have it sorted out.

I've replaced the PDF with a new one, but it could very well have the same problems. Let us know right away (thanks for all the other bug reports!) and we'll keep plugging away at it.

Evan,

I'm still getting the same errors. I also get a box that flashes up when I open it that says "Rebuild."

Ok, I think we're good to go now. As of 1pm Pacific Time I was able to download the PDF and view it without errors.

YAY!

It loaded & saved OK for me, too, this time. Haven't read it yet (waiting for my crappy ancient printer to digest the PDF), but didn't see any glaring format problems in my quick page-through.

Now that all 3 parts are out, I can give it a good once-over with the errata-detector. That may take me a while, though...this month & next, I've got MiF to run and a contest entry to write & playtest... (Pirates and cultists coming out of my ears--and let me tell you, *that's* an unpleasant sensation!)

So...how about that missing map for Part 1? Post it soon enough, and it won't even make into my errata page.

We aim to please.

I've sent a ping out to see about getting that missing pt 1 map back where it should be. I know it exists because Jeff Quick's hard copy chicken scratches in my own hand at one point in this process. Heh heh.
