It's been a while since we turned an entire section of GreenRonin.com upsidedown, so here goes. We've got entirely new forums for you! These are much more customizable and easier to maintain for us, while being easier to use (You'll soon like the new interface--we promise!) for you. This new forum is also searchable, you get to make up a spiffy user name, and you can use cool graphic smilies, like this: :smile:

We'd love to hear what you think of the new forum.

ps: If you want to continue a thread that was going on in the old forum, let us know and we'll move it over here for you to post away!

I'm looking into hacks for this forum system that allow users to choose avatars (aka "those little pictures like the one on the left there") on their own. I would have my large staff of interns manually add avatar images, but they have yet to ever show up for work. :smile:

Ahhh, I know what that's like. You definitely need to fire them...immediately! :wink:

Forums are nice. phpBB was going to be my first choice when I was looking for a forum.

What made you change your mind? I like a lot of the features available in phpBB2, but I went with version 1.4.4 because I figured it was more weathered and we could upgrade later. You're using Open Bulletin Board, right? I didn't come across that one in my research.

the main site for oBB is http://community.iansoft.net

As they're still in Beta, it doesnt necessarily surprise me that they are not fully circulated on the net.

I'm usung a heavily hacked RC2, ad the FULL 1.0 release is due out in a few weeks.

Really is sweet board software.

Any forum can be a forum for Ork! You just have to alter your grammar a bit. For example:

Hey! Why am no Ork forum? Me am smash yer face!

[takes large rock and smashes face]

See? Piece of cake!
