Focus on Freeport #11: Deus ex Machina

We know you love free adventures, because we love free adventures, too. Jeff Quick loves writing adventures, and this works out great for all of us, since we can now proudly announce our latest Focus on Freeport: Deus Ex Machina, Part One. Enjoy!

News of New Reviews

We've spied a couple new online reviews of our stuff, and thought we'd let you know.

  • The Freeport Trilogy reviewed on roleplaygames.about.com
"This series of linked adventures is perfect for starting off a new D&D campaign, quickly plunging the characters into a city-based political and religious quagmire of lies and treachery."

  • Legions of Hell reviewed on AtFantasy.com
"Legions of Hell is, without doubt, the best d20 product to date. Not only are the devils therein very usable in just about any campaign, but the prestige classes are a must for any campaign that includes certain devils. The art is nice and the format is also appropriate. It is very well-edited and there are no typos. Hooray for this!"

Character Folio Pictures Posted

We've just posted some images of pages from the d20 System Character Record Folio. This 16-page Green Ronin creation is designed to replace that flimsy, wrinkled, note-covered sheet of paper you've been cruelly forced to use as your character sheet. You can learn more about it here.

A Fiendish Review

Gamer Grrl Dru Pagliassotti has posted a review of Legions of Hell on about.com.

"If you play the kind of game where fiends are your favored foes, this supplement is a must-have. It'll really allow you to flesh out the legions of the damned and provide your players with new challenges. I highly recommend Legions of Hell."

Submissions Policy Posted

We've posted our Submissions Policy. If you're a writer, we're not currently accepting unsolicited submissions, but you'll want to read about our matching payment program. If you're an artist, you can read the policy to find out how to best get our attention and show off your stuff.

A Time To Band Together

We at Green Ronin are deeply affected by the terrible events of September 11th. Our thoughts are with the relief workers, the victims, and their families, as well as with our own family and friends, whether they experienced the attacks first-hand or on TV. We are going to wait until Monday to resume our normal business and game-related updates.

In the meantime, we encourage you all to talk about the events in our message boards or elsewhere, to draw together as a community to do whatever is possible to help and heal. You can get involved by signing up to donate blood, money, tissue, or time at http://www.redcross.org/.

The Abyssal Hordes Are Coming!

We begged, we pleaded, we ponied up huge piles of gold pieces, and even though they promised to leave us all alone, we're certain that the Armies of the Abyss will still rampage into a store near you in January 2002. Okay, maybe we'll be spared an actual demon invasion, but rest assured that there's no stopping this new d20 System Monster Compendium from Green Ronin Publishing. The Book of Fiends, Volume 2 features more than 50 nasty Outsiders, just perfect for scaring the Elven Boots from unsuspecting players.

Ready For Some RPGAction?

The nice folks over at RPGAction.com, self-proclaimed home of The Best Gaming Action On The Planet!, have posted a review of Legions of Hell.

"...Legions of Hell makes for a good addition to any serious dungeon master’s library. It is one of the few d20 licensed supplements that stands on a par with the official WotC/Hasbro materials, and is essential for anyone with an interest in a long-term campaign devoted to either promoting or beating back evil."

We couldn't have put it better ourselves.
