Post GAMA Trade Show Roundup

The GR crew is back from the GAMA Trade Show and it was easily our best trade show ever. We woke up Tuesday to find out that Green Ronin had been nominated for five Origins Awards. To say we were thrilled is an understatement. Two hours later our box of Freeport: The City of Adventure arrived from the bindery. Cracking open that box after all those months of work was immensely satisfying. The book looks great, and the poster map is just gorgeous. Since we only had a dozen books at the show, we had to beat back retailers with a stick to keep them from walking away with our display copies. More than one tried the "Look over there, it's Elvis!" trick, but none of our crack staff fell for that one. Three lucky retailers did win copies at the brunch we co-hosted Wednesday morning though. The book is on its way to our warehouse right now and should head out to distributors next week.

At our brunch we also made some big announcements. For starters, we're going to be publishing Adamant Entertainment's Skull & Bones RPG. This is the definitive d20 game of the Golden Age of Piracy and, as you might guess, it's right up our alley. We should be finalizing the deal with Adamant shortly and then we'll have more info up on the site. Look for Skull & Bones this winter.

We also announced our August release, The Book of the Righteous. We'll be putting up product information for this tome soon, but let me just say three words right now: 320 page hardback.

As if all that goodness wasn't enough, we also found time to approve the final proofs for both Armies of the Abyss and the Shaman's Handbook while in Vegas. Expect both books in stores in April, likely only 7-10 days after the Freeport book. Hope the Easter Bunny brings you all cash this year!

Stay tuned to to our Web site for more goodies over the coming weeks. We have the Arcana: Societies of Magic Web enhancement, the long awaited Jade Dragons & Hungry Ghosts Web enhancement, and a preview of the Shaman's Handbook all nearing completion.

It's going to be a Green Ronin spring!

Announcing Hammer and Helm: A Guidebook to Dwarves

Okay, lasses and lads... Our spiked gauntlets are off, our beards are tucked into our belts, and our waraxes are glinting in the bright light of the rising sun. That noise you hear is the stomping of countless pairs of heavy boots coming straight at you. You'd best grab an axe and fall in, because we take no prisoners. This is the age of Green Ronin.

We are proud to announce Hammer and Helm: A Guidebook to Dwarves, the first release in our Races of Renown series of d20 System Sourcebooks. Pre-order your copy today!

Armies of the Abyss PDF Preview!

Just when you least expected it, hordes of demons are galloping, flapping, and slithering your way. The Armies of the Abyss are on the move, and that means bad news for you. We've put together a preview, so you know a little about what to expect when the armies arrive. Not that you'll be safe from the demon prince Astaroth or the ten-armed paigoel demons. Check out the preview, before it's too late!

Armies of the Abyss Ad Posted; Arcana Reviewed

We love our new print advertisement for our upcoming book Armies of the Abyss so much that we decided to let you see the ad now. It will be appearing in the next issue of Dungeon magazine, and then in the Dragon issue after that.

In other news, we've added another review of Arcana: Societies of Magic to our reviews database. In the review (found on GamingReport.com) Wayne Tonjes gives the book 4.5 out of 5 stars, and says, "...Arcana provides a very nice collection of power groups to design a campaign around or just build into an established one." You can get to the review from the new Reviews section on the Arcana catalog page.

Site News: Reviews Database Project Moving Right Along

We're working on a Reviews page that will let you search for links to reviews of our products, so you know we're not making it up when we tell you how cool our stuff is. That page isn't ready yet, but we now have the ability to display links to relevant reviews on our product pages. The reviews database isn't quite up-to-date yet, but you can already find some review links on our catalog pages.

Several of the sites we link to for reviews accept review submissions. If you've always wanted to let the world know what you think about game products like ours, sites such as ENWorld and rpg.net might be just the place for you to get up on a soapbox and get famous.
